The Rideau Trail passes through Perth, and for boaters, the town is linked to the Rideau Canal system via the Tay Canal.  Perth's history is fascinating and dates back to the 1800s.  Perth is home to many attractions as well as great shopping and fabulous dining:  Stewart Park, Perth Museum, Conlon Farm, fine artisan shops, Perth Farmers' Market, Perth Wildlife Reserve.  Golfing at the one of Canada's oldest golf courses, Links O'Tay, is within a five minute walk.  Swmimming, canoeing, kayaking and boating are also very nearby.
